Engagement and Motivation: The Byproducts of Organizational Culture

Recorded On: 10/28/2019

According to Gallup, only one in three employees worldwide strongly agrees with the statement "The mission or purpose of my organization makes me feel my job is important.". We know employees who answer yes to this question are more engaged and we know employee engagement impacts performance. But the organizational landscape is cluttered with failed employee engagement initiatives. Why? Because the focus is wrong. Engagement and motivation are simply byproducts of your organization’s culture. The only way to impact your employees is through culture change. In this interactive session we will explore the three drivers of culture: experiences, beliefs and behaviors. Participants will discover how managers and leaders at all levels can impact these drivers to effect culture change. We will review a six-step road map for creating a high-performance culture that can be implemented by leaders at all levels of the organization. Learning Objectives: Explore the relationship between engagement, motivation and culture; Understand the three drivers of culture and how leaders impact those drivers; Learn the six-step process for effecting culture change.
