Returning Favorite! In order to be successful in today’s business environment, it is critical that human resources professionals are able demonstrate more than task-based, operational functions. Participants will learn about the numerous opportunities HR professionals have to influence and impact the business outside of the day-to-day HR paperwork by outlining specific steps one can take to become a true strategic partner and develop a basic business acumen. This session will highlight the knowledge, behaviors, and attitudes needed to truly be a strategic HR partner.

Danyelle Ackall

As an instructor for the Neeley School of Business at TCU, Danyelle brings over 20 years of HR and business experience into the classroom. Danyelle was recognized by HR Southwest as the HR Educator of the Year in 2011 for her work as a S/PHR certification instructor for Fort Worth HR, Mid-Cities HR, UT Arlington, and Tarrant County College. Danyelle holds a Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M University and earned a Master's of Science Degree from UT Arlington. In 2001, she achieved the SPHR designation and later the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation. In 2015, she tested and passed the SHRM-SCP during the inaugural testing period. Danyelle has been a member of Fort Worth HR since 1999, serving as Chapter President in 2012. In her spare time, Danyelle operates an HR Services firm, Illustrations in Employment. The firm is focused on employee relations, management training, and compliance.
