Increased globalization means that employers must reassess the way that they manage their immigration programs, especially in light of the heighten focus on immigration enforcement and compliance. As the global workforce evolves and organizations continue to change, immigration challenges are becoming increasingly complex and require HR professionals to manage a multitude of considerations including overseeing partnerships with local service providers, ensuring the global mobility experience for assignees, managing and tracking costs, and ensuring compliance. This session provides an update on the hot issues that are currently affecting international organizations and how HR and global mobility professionals can mobilize teams to meet both short and long-term business demands.
Dilnaz Saleem
Ms. Saleem works closely with local, national and international clients to provide legal advice and counsel in all areas of global immigration. She provides strategic direction and implements best practices for clients. She focuses on all aspects of employment-based immigration, policy design and program management to align with clients' global business objectives. Ms. Saleem offers strategic counsel on all aspects of business immigration, including labor certification PERM applications, immigrant visa petitions, consular processing and adjustment of status applications, reentry permits and naturalization applications. She also manages H-1B petitions, TNs, L-1s, E visas and O visas. Her practice focuses on counseling large multinational corporations on immigration issues arising from corporate reorganizations, mergers and layoffs; managing PERM recruitment programs; immigrant visa petitions under the extraordinary ability, outstanding researcher, multinational manager and executive, and national interest waiver categories; as well as policy and procedures development.
